Food was amazing and never disappoints. The server made great recommendations and constantly checked in on us. Good place for brunch cocktails and coffee. Wait times can be a little bit extensive depending on the time of day. This time it wasn't too bad. The ambiance has a mix of indoor and outdoor dining. I would definitely recommend this place if in the Portland area.

Oh man, is this good food. We came the Saturday after July 4. Out the door wait, but with a smile and friendly greeting we scored seats at the bar. Service was as expected a bit slow, but not drum your fingers on the table slow. Chillax people, you'll get fed. It was JAMMED PACKED with folks, so it was loud but not AC/DC concert loud. You could hear your neighbor. You gotta try the cheesy grits! So damn good. My better half is gluten free so she had the best huevos rancheros. Ever. Go here. Eat. Leave happy, then in 30 years tell your grandchildren how they should go. Yeah, that good.

Delicious! Spectacular service! Feels like home vibe! It checked all the boxes for me. Coming from LA, I emptied all my pockets of expectations just to be fair. I easily can say, this one was my favorite breakfast place here in Portland, Oregon. Their Praline Bacon is a must have. The best thing I ever ate on this side of the hemisphere. We ordered the fried oysters and chicken and waffles. What a treat!! The crust stayed on the oysters and has a unique seasoning in the batter. It balanced with the dipping sauce that came with it. It was amazing! The chicken and waffles was also excellent. Just the right amount of batter. It's crispy, juicy and tender. The best part of our experience was the friendly service. Street parking only. Highly recommended!

Definitely a must try brunch place in Eastside. We had a reservation for 8:45 am and were seated right away on the covered patio. The portions were good size and delicious. For my entree I ordered the Fried Chicken & Biscuits. It comes with crispy fried chicken breast smothered in country pork sausage gravy or mushroom veggie gravy, served w/ a fresh-baked buttermilk biscuit & breakfast potatoes. It is so delicious! I highly recommend this dish. The biscuits are made fresh and are very soft and filling.

Wow! I'm from the south and heard a lot about this restaurant and their southern style cooking. Many places say they have southern style cooking and miss the mark- THIS PLACE WAS SPOT ON! I ordered the filet catfish, mac and cheese, and slaw. The Mac and cheese is on point- creamy, cheesy and yummy. Everything I had was phenomenal. The food was flavored and seasoned very well. The service was great. This place was busy- so I recommend making a reservation!

Today I sat at the counter and had the smoked pork shoulder benedict, with cheese grits & coffee. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food came out promptly. At first glance, there was a generous amount of both the hollandaise and the shredded smoked pork. The star of the show was the perfectly poached egg! It had a deeply golden hue and perfectly flowed across the benedict. The pleasant surprise was nice crunch from the pickled onions. The pork had a nice amount of smoke flavor.

This is a classic Portland brunch establishment so it is also a fairly popular spot for locals and tourists alike. I went here on a Sunday brunch during Father's Day but fortunately made a reservation in advance for 8:30am because we saw a huge line to get in for those that walk in. It is not uncommon for people to wait 1-2 hours to get in, and I would say it would not be worth that wait since the food is honestly a bit overrated for what it is. We got the praline bacon and chicken and waffles 2 pieces. The praline bacon is amazing as it is sweet and has a nice texture from the pecans, and it reminds me somewhat of the Millionaire's Bacon but with a bit more flair. However, the chicken and waffles were a bit underwhelming as the chicken is fairly dry. The waffle has a bit of flavor but for the price, I would skip even though most people order this for their first time. Service is good as expected since this is an American restaurant. Price-wise is also fair as the portions are huge and you can get full from just 1 entree if you order the heavier ones.

This brunch spot serves up the most divine combination of crispy chicken and fluffy waffles. The chicken is tender with just the right amount of seasoning, while the waffles are golden and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The portion sizes are huge, ensuring you leave satisfied and with leftovers. The atmosphere is busy and loud but that's expected because this spot is a popular brunch destination. Service is quick and friendly. Expect to be waiting 30min-1hr plus if you are walking in. I'll definitely be coming back but maybe during dinner time instead to try some other foods

Screen Door is like a well oiled machine they know how to run their business efficiently because it's always busy, line out of the door and yes there are people who willing to wait for 1 hour plus to get in ( it's me I'm people). I got lucky this time me and my bf got seated within 10-15 mins of waiting. Once seated space could be tight if it's crowded. Nice and friendly staffs. Ordered: chicken & waffles- big portion good for sharing. banana foster french toast- this was delicious I've had many French toast before but screen door's still my number 1 favorite! Great brunch spot can't wait to come back to try more items on their menu, if you live in Portland or in the area I highly recommend trying Screen door! Note: parking is street parking can be a hit or miss and if the wait is long and you're bored walk to near by coffee shop!
